Hey Fit Radio Fam! We’re sisters, Lauren and Kelly of SISSFiT. We grew up in Orange County, California and have played sports our entire lives. We ran Division 1 Track and Field together at UC Irvine and upon graduating realized that we were not ready to give up our love for fitness! Though we chose different career paths, we were constantly exchanging workouts with one another and when possible, meeting up for a little healthy competition and accountability! We became the “go-to’s” in our friend circles for workouts and training and figured it was time to get certified and begin building something we were truly passionate about!

Kelly and I started our company SISSFiT in mid-2016 with the goal of inspiring others not only to live healthier, more active lifestyles but also to show that this can be done without a ton of time! Let’s be efficient with our workouts people! We began writing downloadable Workout and Nutrition Guides. Although we love all of the guides we have written, we found our true love when we wrote Accelerate (shhh), our Treadmill Interval guide! We know, treadmill intervals..gross. BUT, if you’re here, you’ve probably discovered that treadmill intervals don’t have to suck! When we were approached by Fit Radio to take our workouts audio, it was a no-brainer!! Amazing DJ mixes paired with the workouts we love most…yes, please! Our workouts are specific, tailored to your personal fitness level, and intense!! But, before signing off after hearing the word “intense,” trust that we’ll guide you through the workouts, give them a try, and we hope you come back for more!
Oh and you might hear us signing off with “Stay Inspired. Stay Strong.” Although the SISS in SISSFiT stands for sisters of course, we added the double S because we feel this acronym “Stay Inspired. Stay Strong.” embodies who we are and what we are aiming to accomplish through coaching and working with others to reach their fitness goals!
What got you two into fitness?
Well, for starters, we have a big family (20 cousins…all local), and the majority are older, athletic, boy cousins (in addition to an older brother). That could mean only one thing…we better keep up!! Whether it was playing soccer, basketball, tag, or even inner tubing out at the river, we knew we wouldn’t get to participate if we couldn’t hold our own. Thankfully we were quick learners and we loved sports, so we dove right in! Kelly’s sport of choice was soccer, while mine was gymnastics, both of which we took very seriously until settling on our love for track and field in high school. We continued into college, competing at the Division 1 level and have never turned back. Although we are no longer hurdling and high jumping every weekend (ha!) we do love to get out for a sprint workout on the track, run hills, stairs, and pretty much anything high intensity and quick that will make us feel like studs. We know getting outside isn’t always practical which is why we had to find a way to bring this excitement and intensity indoors…cue treadmill intervals! We used to hate the treadmill, but this new structure changed our outlook and we hope it does the same for you!!
What has fitness taught you?
Fitness has taught us how to push our limits and strive for continuous improvement which spills over into every aspect of our lives. What you put in is what you get out of it and the small daily disciplines of fitness have taught us the power and rewards of consistent effort! Just like you can dig a little deeper on the tread by adding just .1, you can push a little harder in your career, put a little more into your relationships. Our motto is always “small wins”. You don’t need to shatter every goal in a day but there’s ALWAYS something small you can do to better yourself.
What do you love about coaching?
We love being able to show people what they are made of! Often times we set boundaries and limitations for ourselves and our goal as coaches is to continually push you slightly out of your comfort zone so that you can reach your full potential. There’s nothing more gratifying for us than a client texting us or calling saying “OH MY GOSH I just ran ____! I haven’t run that fast since I was a kid!”

Since our workouts are personalized to your ability, we take out all guesswork of what speeds and inclines you should be at and tell you exactly where to be every step of the way. You will learn to trust us to push you to your limit without feeling defeated and help you break records and speeds that you didn’t even know you were capable of!
