What's HOT for the 4th of July!

Here at FIT Radio, our lives revolve around music, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that today’s discussion circled around what we were each planning on listening to for the 4th of July and what we would recommend to our users. Since we all have such different personalities, we decided to each come up with our own list. Feel free to check them out and add our favorites to your favorites AND, of course, you can never go wrong with the 4th of July Party and Poolside genres. We made sure to fill all our genres with the BEST of the BEST, just in time for America’s favorite holiday!

Evan Malloy
(Music Director & DJ Funk Manchu) the Cool Kid on the block hosting a “cookout with the fam” recommends “Everything on the Classic Rock and Indie Dance genres, because nothing is more American than good ole fashioned rock n’ roll.” He also recommends: My Body (Inspired by Men’s Health) – a proven alternative rock party starter, All You’re Waiting For – Indie-Dance tracks that really get him going, Triple J Mixup 1992-2002 by Fight Facilities – an impeccably mixed ‘Best of’ from the 90’s decade, and Picture Me Rollin – coastal-centric gangster rap from the 90s.

Lexi Bellassai (Vice President), obsessed with The Mars Volta, Glassjaw and lover off all music from the 70s and 80s, will be listening to her favorite FIT Radio mixes while running the Peachtree Road Race: Roxanne’s Easy Lover featuring her favorite Sussudio, Mas Trabajo by The Captains of Industry, Casablanca by Rick Rude, Yacht Magic Pt. 2 by Christyle, and “if the after party crowd will allow it” Burn and Caught A Glimpse featuring her favorite Rock artists.

Cari Seaman (Social Media Director) a lover of ALL music who physically cannot choose one or two genres to love, believes she has come up with the perfect list for a crowd that will satisfy everyone who is listening… even the boys on the boat next door: Boujis Ibiza 2011 by Sam Young, STK London mix Pt. 1 also by Sam Young, Vapor Trail by Commander, Carried Away by Commander, Super Sounds by Eddy Xpress (a new DJ just brought on by DJcity), and Deeper Shade of Soul by Chris Anthony.

Nora Dillard (Music Director), the festival obsessed, EDM devotee plans to kick off the lake party with her favorite EDM, Open Format, and 2K Mixes (that bring her back to diapers… just joking). Here’s her list for the 4th: Dance Sessions by DJ Wessy Wes, Super Sounds by Eddy Xpress (also mentioned by Cari), What Can Pound Do For You by ###, Pt. 2 My Awesome Mixtape #3 by Clinton Sparks, and Pop 2k by The Party Boy DJ Chris Styles.
