I’m sure you all have seen this type of article at some point in time, “How to Prevent ‘this’ during the Summer”, “Stay hydrated”, “Don’t workout at this time of day”, yada, yada, yada. However, since it’s been several months, and it really doesn’t hurt to stay knowledgeable about being healthy, why not make time for a little refresher course?! With the hot weather quickly approaching, it is important to know the signs and risks of working out in adverse climates. Signs of heat exhaustion and dehydration are somewhat easy to identify but have you thought of just how the humidity and smog alone can affect the way your body’s ability to exert itself in higher temperatures? All the negative things that come with outdoor activity can all and should be prevented.
