Earlier this year, FITRADIO delivered on its most requested feature: the ability to organize favorite mixes into custom folders. Since its launch, thousands of users, from personal trainers to everyday athletes, have used this tool to build structured, purpose-driven playlists that fuel their workouts.
Now, FITRADIO is preparing to take that functionality one step further.

Coming this August: Folder Sharing
Users will soon be able to share their custom folders with others, making it easier than ever to keep clients, teams, and training groups aligned, motivated, and moving in sync.
“Organize Favorites completely changed the way our users interacted with the app,” says Russell Greene, CEO of FITRADIO. “With folder sharing, we’re introducing a whole new level of connectivity, one that’s built around community, coaching, and collaboration.”
About the Upcoming Folder Sharing Feature
The upcoming folder sharing update will allow users to:
- Share any custom folder of mixes via a simple link
- Recipients can choose to follow the original folder or save a personal copy
- Keep group playlists up to date without manually resending links
- Use folders as collaborative tools for classes, events, or training blocks
This feature has been designed with fitness professionals in mind, but its utility spans all user types, from coaches building class routines to friends syncing their weekly workouts.
Two Sharing Options
Save & Follow
Users who choose to follow a shared folder will automatically see future updates made by the original creator. This is ideal for teams and group instructors who want to maintain consistency without constant coordination. When someone chooses Save & Follow, you’ll see the total number of followers your custom list has. This count reflects only the people following the original folder, not those who saved a personal copy as their own.
Save as My Own
Users who want to personalize a shared folder, by renaming it, reordering mixes, or adding/removing tracks, can save a fully editable copy. This is recommended for coaches or individuals who want to adapt shared content to their specific training needs.

Every list you create lives under the “Favorites” tab for easy access and seamless browsing. - Don’t Worry About Your Existing Favorites
All mixes you previously favorited are still available under a default list titled “All Favorites.” - Move Existing Favorites Into New Custom Lists
Easily organize past favorites by tapping the … icon next to a mix in “All Favorites” and selecting “Copy to another List.”
How To: Organize Your Favorites
Create folders that match your workout style.
This feature gives you full control over how your favorite mixes are sorted, sequenced, and played.
1. Favorite a mix
Tap the heart icon on any mix to add it to your favorites.
2. Save it where you want it
Choose an existing folder or create a brand-new one with a custom name.
3. Make it your own
Reorder tracks using drag and drop, assign nicknames to mixes, and design folders around specific workouts, moods, or formats.
4. Find everything under Favorites
All your folders are stored in the “Favorites” tab. Your original list of favorited mixes lives under “All Favorites.”
5. Press Play All
Play your folder from top to bottom, exactly the way you designed it.

Inside a Custom List: What You Can Do
Once your folders are set up, you can personalize the experience even further with in-folder controls:
- Control the Order
Arrange your mixes in the order you want them to play using drag-and-drop functionality. - Nickname Your Mixes
Assign custom labels or nicknames to any mix in your folder — great for class types, segments, or cues (e.g., “Warm-Up” or “Core Burner”). - Play in Sequence
Tap “Play All” from within any folder to play your mixes back-to-back, exactly as arranged.
How To: Share Your Favorite Folders
When it goes live, here’s how you’ll share your curated energy with others:
1. Open your Favorites tab
Choose the folder you want to share.
2. Tap the Share icon
Generate a shareable link instantly.
3. Choose your method
Text it, email it, drop it in a group chat, it’s up to you.

How To: Save a Shared Favorite Folder
There will be two ways the recipient can save a shared folder:
1. Save & Follow
They follow your folder. Every time you add, remove, or reorder mixes, their folder updates, too. Great for teams and group workouts.
2. Save as My Own
They get a personal copy they can fully customize. Great for coaches or users who want to tweak things to fit their style.

Launch Timeline
The Folder Sharing feature will roll out in August 2025 to all FITRADIO users on iOS and Android. Users are encouraged to begin organizing their favorites now to be ready when sharing goes live.
