How do you use FIT Radio? I enjoy music almost all day to stay motivated and pumped up to train as much as possible, and FIT Radio get me there!

Describe your typical day? Typical day at home usually is waking up, making a healthy breakfast and tea while catching up on emails and my web pages. Then I start warming up the body by rolling (using a foam roller) and performing dynamic stretches before I go ride. Head to the gas station to get gas for the day, and then come back to the house to start riding. Usually ride once or twice. If I don’t ride twice, I usually make it to the gym. Then I fuel up with some lunch, and train or ride again. Then when I am done riding I make dinner and rest for an hour or so. After digesting I do some form of yoga nightly to stay loose for the next day usually while watching t.v.

What makes you stand out? I feel my style of riding, of going big in the flats while incorporating tech tricks helps me stand out. Also my training and work ethic towards wakeboarding, it’s kinda unorthodox.

What is your favorite wakeboarding move? To me the simple moves seem the most fun! But doing them big and poked out makes them feel so good! My favorite trick is a backside 180 in the flats, or a switch backside 180 in the flats. Love it!

Where is your favorite place to wakeboard? Lake Powell. Lake Powell is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, it’s gorgeous!!

How do you train? My training depends on the day and what it consists of. If I ride multipul times a day, I will just foam roll and do yoga to loosen my body after intense riding. If I only ride once or not at all, I am in the gym training high intensity workouts, building explosive fast twitch strength. I usually do circuit style training, but I change it up every month or so. And always end training sessions with cool down yoga 🙂

What do you plan to do to grow wakeboarding into new industries? I want to push my riding, doing new things in a different way and have them be seen. To introduce the public to what wakeboarders are really doing. I want to do film projects with outside industry networks to showcase wakeboarding to the masses. Also put on events that exposes wakeboarding to new crowds.

What is your favorite time of day to wakeboard and why? best time is anytime after 11am, haha. It takes a little bit for the body to wake up and get motivated after previous days of riding and training intensely.

Do you travel a lot? If so explain where/why? I travel quite a bit! In the last 2 months, I have been home 6 days of those 2 months. I travel a lot due to sponsor obligations, appearances, signings, shows, photo shoots, and video shoots. Its mainly all over the U.S as of now.

Why do you love wakeboarding? I love riding! Since the day I started! It takes me out of the head. Puts me directly in the moment, where nothing else matters except what is happening in that moment. And I love that!

What is your goal in life? Happiness and Happiness of others!

How do you live differently than most pro wakeboarders? Diet, physical training, Coaching, Sports Phycology,  no alcohol.

What is your favorite type of music? Anything that compliments the moment! But a lot of the times, real HIP HOP!

How old were you when you jumped your first wake? I was probably 14? It was the first day I ever tried wakeboarding.

Describe the feeling of landing your first jump? My first jump was actually no big deal to me. I had grown up snowboarding and doing way bigger airs than that at the time, so it wasn’t that big of a deal to me. But landing my first flip was when I got stoked, and was addicted to riding from then on.

Why did you become a pro wakeboarder? It wasn’t really a choice. It came to me out of necessity. It help mold me to what I am today.

How do you stay energized? Natural ways or products. Yoga, diet, music, USPLabs supplements, Organic teas (Yerba Mate) love that stuff!!

What is your favorite wakeboarding gear? Favorite gear is probably my HYPERLITE System wakeboard bindings!! I no longer have to worry about heel or toe lift, or tweaking my ankle. They provide the best support out there, period!

Are you an only child? If not, what do you siblings do? I have a sister, Julie who is awesome!! And she is expecting a boy soon, and I couldn’t be more exited!! He’s gonna come stay with me and learn to ride!!

Have you ever gotten injured while attempting a move? Yes, after doing a basic double flip, I started working on variations of that double flip that has never been done before, and got pretty broke off while working on it. Took me out for a little bit.

What motivates you to stay on track and work hard? Everything I have accomplished up to this point, and how much I have left to give back to the world. It’s not a conscious thing, it comes naturally, just something I have to do right now. I wake up in the morning knowing that this is what I need to do. Life’s too short not to go after what you want.

What are competitions like? There not my cup of tea at the moment. I respect it and know it is necessary. I would just like to see the courses get bigger, and riders be rewarded for going bigger and faster. I know it would grow the spectators appreciation.

I would just like to thank everyone who has ever supported me. God, My family, friends, Coach Scott Harwood, and Trainer Chris Christoff. All my Sponsors, Chuck at Buywake.com, Ambush boarding co, Hyperlite Wakeboards, and Usplabs supplements.
